In the heart of Garðabær, a stunning interior has emerged — the very essence of refined taste and timeless beauty. The centerpiece of this bright, spacious open-plan living area is a breathtaking kitchen arrangement where the elegant Calacatta Gold quartz takes the spotlight.
The countertops made of this remarkable stone are the true heart of the kitchen. Thickened to 50 mm, they bring a sense of strength and monumentality to the space. The Calacatta Gold pattern, inspired by one of the world’s most famous marbles, reveals its full charm here — soft grey and golden veins flow gracefully across a creamy background, adding a touch of dynamic elegance.
A true masterpiece of this project is the island finished with a spectacular waterfall edge. This impressive detail — where the stone seamlessly continues down the side of the island — creates a feeling of continuity and luxury. The delicate veins naturally flow downwards, visually extending the worktop surface.

This exceptional kitchen nook we had the pleasure to create is a true gem in the heart of Hafnarfjörður. Its centerpiece features breathtaking countertops made from the exclusive Calacatta Black quartz composite.
This material combines the best of both worlds — the durability of quartz and the timeless, luxurious look of real marble. The deep, mysterious black background is crossed by dramatic white veins, forming a pattern full of elegance and character. To emphasize the bold aesthetic, the countertops were thickened to an impressive 50 mm, giving them a solid, monumental presence.
At the heart of the design is a kitchen island with a functional overhang, creating a comfortable seating area with bar stools — a perfect blend of form and function, ideal for both meal preparation and social gatherings. Attention to detail is also visible in the backsplash behind the sink, made from the same stone as the countertops. This cohesive solution visually enlarges the space and gives the entire composition a sense of sophistication and harmony.

In the 109 Breiðholt district of Reykjavík, a project has been created that perfectly blends modernity with timeless elegance. It’s a space where two remarkable materials take center stage: Technistone Glencoe quartz and black Laminam Nero Assoluto.
The centerpiece of the design is the Technistone Glencoe kitchen countertops, impressive not only for their quality but also for their 50-millimetre thickness. This stone captivates with its subtle, natural pattern and depth of colour, bringing warmth and refined lightness to the interior. The 4-metre-long island, finished with an elegant waterfall edge, becomes the true heart of the home — a place for cooking, gathering, and everyday rituals. The composition is harmoniously completed by a fireplace clad in black Laminam Nero Assoluto. Its smooth, deep black surface contrasts beautifully with the lighter countertops, while still creating a balanced whole with the cabinetry. It introduces a touch of luxury and modern character to the space.
One of the most exceptional aspects of this project is the way the stone interacts with light. After dusk, the lighting subtly highlights the texture of the quartz and reveals the elegant matte finish of the black fireplace, creating an atmosphere of calm and cosy sophistication. Natural Taj Mahal quartzite was used, with a noble 30 mm thickness and a full polish finish. Its perfectly balanced, warm creamy tone with subtle veining creates a harmonious and cohesive composition with the surrounding cabinetry.
At the heart of the project stands a monumental central island, distinguished by two elegant waterfall edges. Flowing seamlessly down to the floor on both sides, they integrate the countertop with the structure itself. This architectural solution emphasizes the material’s mass, weight, and noble character, giving the island a sculptural, fluid form and making it the dominant visual focal point of the space. Both the island and the main kitchen surfaces were crafted from the same natural stone, ensuring complete visual consistency and a smooth, uninterrupted design flow. A key and intentional aesthetic feature is the deliberate exposure of natural fissures and veining within the quartzite — authentic, one-of-a-kind characteristics enhanced by deep polishing.
These organic details add texture, depth, and individuality, transforming the countertops from functional elements into living works of applied art. The entire project represents a thoughtful balance of uncompromising functionality, exceptional quartzite durability, and refined, understated luxury.
